Paul Gillespie — Solicitor
Paul is a Solicitor in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. He was admitted to the bar in 2009 and joined the firm in 2010.
Paul works in our medical and personal injury practice, with a particular focus on historic abuse claims.
Prior to coming to Johnston Lawrence, Paul worked in the area of Refugee and Immigration law for the past three years. Paul has also worked in the areas of employment and criminal law as well as obtaining some general civil litigation experience.

Why did you become a lawyer?
I enjoy solving problems and helping people. I also enjoy the intellectual stimulation of ongoing learning and education.
What do you do when you're not a lawyer?
I'm a keen supporter of the Wellington Phoenix. I enjoy cycling, reading and films.
Why is Wellington the best city in New Zealand?
Wellington is by far the best city in NZ - just the right size and easily accessible by foot due to the compact nature of the inner city.
