We have a depth of experience in superannuation law. Our clients within the industry include, in particular, employer and industry sponsored superannuation schemes.

Recent work includes the establishment of a Complying Fund (as defined in legislation), and we have helped in the creation of KiwiSaver sections to existing schemes.

Our services include:

  • We advise on aspects of securities law and have hands on experience as trustees of superannuation schemes
  • We assist trustees with day to day issues arising in the management of their schemes, and have acted in major litigation concerning client schemes
  • Drafting and reviewing prospectuses, investment statements and exemption notices and their impact on the industry
  • We give advice in the related fields of financial adviser compliance, disclosure certificates and financial advertising compliance

We have close relationships with actuarial firms and through them provide advice to their clients.
